Pennsylvanian Bivalve Holotype - 02
Holotype of Pterinopectinella gjelica named after Gzhelian Stage. The specimen comes from a meter thick horizon of Gzhelian marl-, mud- and sandstones yielding abundant brachiopods, sponges, solitary rugose corals, bivalves, cephalopods and - to a lesser extent - trilobite remnants. The image was taken out of focus and subsequently deblurred using various software, hence the quality is less than ideal.
