Notes
Calcite-filled vein displaced by a minor fault displaying a distinct shear component, evidenced by an oblique offset of the vein. The vein records at least three discrete mineralization events, as indicated by alternating bands of white and brown calcite.
Further observations
The lighter bands are interpreted as precipitates from relatively pure fluids, whereas the darker bands suggest pulses of Fe- and/or Mn-enriched hydrothermal fluids.
