Storm current-winnowed brachiopod lag preserved on Pennsylvanian/Early Permian marly limestone.
Diagenesis
The brachiopod shell accumulation was supposedly followed by prolonged low-rate or absent sedimentation, enabling early marine cementation and mineral coating consisting of clinochlore, muscovite, and quartz, leading to the presumed hardground formation.
