Distinct iron-stained ?Planolites burrows penetrating downward through the laminated silty bed, displaying top-down post-event recolonization where pioneer organisms burrowed into the fresh, organic-rich storm layer. C3-P1.

Compared to the high-energy event (see below), this sample represents a more distal or lower-energy event bed within the same depositional system, evidenced by the absence of basal coarse-lag and planar, non-scoured basal depositional contact.
